Kids triathlon clinic

​Join us for a unique chance to learn about the sport and hone your skills with Ironman champion Linsey Corbin and world-class coach Kevin Mackinnon.   Date:

Venue: Clifton Heritage ParkDon’t miss this 3-hour skills and information clinic that will provide tips and instruction on all facets of triathlon training and racing with one of the most popular triathletes on the Ironman circuit and one of the world’s leading children’s coaches. The afternoon will include one-on-one guidance and instruction that will help the athletes prepare for Sunday’s race and a bright future in the sport. In this jam-packed session we’ll cover:

• Transition area set up
• Warm up strategies
• Race day swim tips
• Bike handling skills
• Running form drills and technique
We’ll end the session with a Q and A session with the pros and, for parents, a short seminar on training and racing for children.

Camp leader: Kevin Mackinnon

A coach for over 35 years, Kevin has worked with all levels of triathletes, runners and cyclists, from beginners to world champions. He has written two best-selling books on children’s triathlon training and racing: “A Healthy Guide to Sport” and “A Healthy Guide to Competition.” His three children are all elite athletes who compete on the Canadian national swim, cycling and triathlon teams.

is a five-time Ironman champion and the American record-holder. She is renowned as much for giving back to both the sport and the endurance community as her outstanding results, frequently speaking to local clubs, youth teams and non-profit organizations.
